Chuck Todd Forgot That He Works For An Industry That Reports Conspiracies As Fact

Last week NBC’s Chuck Todd tweeted: “I miss the days when people muttered nutty conspiracy theories to themselves while meandering down a sidewalk. Now they share it on Twitter w/millions of followers and for some reason some folks amplify it. Treat these tweets the way you’d treat the sidewalk mumbler, look away.”

Chuck, along with the entire Media Establishment, then got their face ripped off by Glenn Greenwald’s response when he said the following: “Remember those days when people muttered nutty conspiracies about Saddam having an alliance with Osama bin Laden, building a major nuclear arsenal, and participating in the 9/11 attack, but they didn’t mutter those on sidewalks but major news outlets, then got promoted for it?”

The irony in Chuck’s Tweet is astonishing. He is clearly directing those claims towards the alternative media sources who actually question the government’s’ actions. The media has been propagandizing their reporting for decades, and now, since they lost all control after the 2016 election when their candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton lost the general election, they have been in full blown panic.

The Media now demands people look away from alleged “conspiracies”? I think Chuck forgot about all the mainstream conspiracies that have gotten much attention on Twitter. I guess Chuck Todd forgot about the Washington Post’s conspiracy about how Russia is behind a massive explosion of “fake news,” and how the Post 2 weeks later posted a piece claiming Russia hacked the electoral grid. Both turned out to be completely false and when tweeted, these conspiracies received a lot of positive attention from journalists and the public. Nobody looked away at these conspiracies, Chuck.

I guess Chuck forgot about the time his network, along with CNN and CBS, posted a conspiracy stating that Don Trump Jr received an email from Wikileaks days before Wikileaks promoted Clinton’s hacked emails online. Turns out the email read September 14th, not September 4th, when the emails were already public.

How about Brian Ross’s conspiracy on the Flynn Plea Deal? Or How about Malcolm Nance’s crazy conspiracy on MSMBC when he said Jill Stein had a show on RT? Or, MSMBC’s Joy Reid’s conspiracy claiming someone hacked her old blog and left a homophobic comment? We still haven’t found that hacker, man this is really starting to sound like a, well you know, conspiracy.

Just a few weeks ago CNN made up a conspiracy theory stating Cohen was going to confess that President Trump approved of the Trump Tower meeting with Don Jr and various Russians, which turned out to be a huge nothingburger. No nothing more than just another mainstream media conspiracy.

I think Chuck Todd forgot that he works in an industry that continues to report conspiracies as fact, all while the American people are deceived.

The funny thing is, when these media outlets publish false conspiratorial news they never get suspended from Facebook or Twitter, fact-checking websites never call them out, and we hardly ever see an apology or retraction to the public for deceiving the masses. However, what these journalists do receive is multiple retweets on Twitter, praise from other journalists, and no accountability for their actions.
