Yes, Russia Collusion Delusion is A Big Deal

While taking my daily drive from the 405 to the 22 into Long Beach, just before passing over the Beach Blvd exit in Huntington Beach, I pass a handwritten sign attached to an overpass stating: “collusion and lots of it!” About half a million people a day are viewing this sign as they commute to work on the 405.

When viewing the sign I can’t help but think “man, that’s an extremely bold statement for one to make with little to no evidence.” Because the bold statement hanging over the 405 is one of many crazy assertions that transpired over the last 2-3 years.

The speculation that Donald J Trump colluded with the Russian government to impact the results of the 2016 election has been broadcasted throughout every cable news outlet, reported in every major news publication, and splattered over every social media platform.

Russagate as a whole, reminds me of a phrase Glenn Greenwald once said: “on the one hand you have faith-based beliefs; Which is, when you put your trust in a person or an institutional religious leader… you simply assume it’s true regardless of evidence because you have faith in that individual to tell you it’s truth.. opposite of that is rational thinking, which is, you don’t accept the claim just because somebody makes it, you need to actually see evidence for it.”

Faith in the CIA, FBI, MSM, and every anti-Trump resistor seemed to trump (no pun intended) all rational, evidence-based thinking.

I’ve been told for two years that Donald Trump’s 2016 election victory is not legitimate due to the fact that “Russia hacked the election” or “Russia attacked our democracy.” Really? Facebook memes, Twitter trolls, and some Gmail accounts really swung the election in favor of Trump?

A hard truth that much of the media refuses to accept is the fact that Hillary Clinton was, and still is, a cruddy candidate who was not favorable amongst the American public. Secondly: her campaign strategy was horrible, as she left out many swing states- including Wisconsin.

Not only did media elites push Russiagate to delegitimize Trump’s victory, but they fed into this petty mindset, similar to that of the president.

Trump is attacking the media daily, coining the term “fake news” and “enemy of the people.” Instead of ignoring his petty smear tactics, media elites used Russiagate to smear him, but all their reporting did was prove Trump to be correct. As we now know the media is “fake news.”

Rachel Maddow made 7 million dollars in 2018 by spewing out complete utter lies related to Trump-Russia. MSNBC’s Ratings skyrocketed, as Madow led her cult following of mindless-dissidence viewers into believing segments upon segments of completely false conspiracies. The media as a whole, reported on this Russian conspiracy theory 8,507 times over two years- 13 articles a day. This isn’t Alex Jones people, no this is mainstream corporate media, that many Americans take seriously.

Over the past 2 years, journalists have been in the business of deceiving the masses into thinking their sitting president is under the control of Putin. This Ponzi scheme has resulted in books being published, ratings going up, and personal exposure being gained through complete lies and deception.

While corporate media hacks benefited from this debacle, those who questioned this conspiracy were called names such asRussian stooge or Putin’s puppet. This rhetoric came out of the mouths of intelligent people that were/are so blinded by hostility, that common sense doesn’t apply.

This behavior by the public, media figures, and politicians is not just deranged but it’s dangerous. Shouting “Putin’s puppet” because they are skeptical and demand evidence for claims, is unhinged new-age-McCarthyism. I’m sorry, but this behavior is not normal.

Even though this cult following preached collusion, none of these theories fit the facts. Trump is not an asset to Putin considering he:

  1. Imposed sanctions on dozens of Russian oligarchs.

  2.  Expelled 60 Russian diplomats.

  3. Killed hundreds of Russians in U.S. Attack in Syria.

  4. Sent lethal weapons to Ukraine.

  5. Bombed Bashar al-Assad.

  6. Nominated Richard Grenell

Come on people, facts don’t fit the narrative. Yet, partisans kept eating this garbage up, like a dog eating his vomit.

Trump didn’t destroy the media, the media destroyed itself with their self-indulgence, petty, deceiving ways. They still cannot admit that their candidate lost to a reality TV host. They failed in 2016, so they pushed this Russia story to cover their failures. Instead of reporting on newsworthy information, the media chose to indulge in a battle that they themselves knew had little substance, just to jab at a president that attacks them daily. They took his bait and got reeled into the net of embarrassment.

Unfortunately, no accountability will transpire from this hoax. Two Pulitzer Prize  Awards were obtained last year for this conspiracy. Media elites will continue to back each other and say their “just doing their jobs.” This is why trust in media has fallen to an all-time low, this is what is waking the American people up to reality and this is why Trump won the 2016 election and is practically being handed a victory in 2020. He is no longer viewed as the villain, but instead the victim.
