The Hearken AOC Trump

Alexandria Ocasio-Cor-Trump

When then President-elect Donald Trump came to the political arena with his outlandish, vindictive, unorthodox, approach, many on the left (and right) did not take him seriously. He spouted out false promises to his base, didn’t have any actual tangible policy concepts, and didn’t sound too intelligent when publicly speaking. This then provided the left with a slew of insults aimed at the right for supporting a genuinely dumb and deceiving candidate.

The minds of the left were blown when this simple-minded, manipulative, dishonest candidate won the 2016 election. Fast forward 2 years to 2018 and we find an emerging fan favorite on the left who evokes the same types of emotional responses as Trump did in 2016. This unorthodox candidate defeated Joe Crowley in the primaries and later became congresswomen for the 14th congressional district. This figure is none other than Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC).

Many journalists deem AOC as the progressive Donald Trump. She knows how to rally up her base via Twitter with tweets, sub-tweets, and retweets of political jargon. She also has a tendency for pushing back against her adversaries by responding to their tweets with rebuttals.

Throw substantive policy out the door, Twitter PR has become the political approach of 2019. Exploiting, arguing, and smearing political foes on Twitter has become the most effective way to build a base. All tactics emulated from the Trump strategy of 2016.

It’s clear AOC is not adequate in actual policy. We’ve all read the disastrous green new deal and the fairy tail regulations it entails.

Twitter PR might fire up a base of oblivious people, but in all reality, it does nothing for the American People. All political rhetoric, no substance. But yet, the masses flock to these grand standards because they feed their base rhetoric that riles them up. If you can control the emotion, you can control the masses.

We’ve approached a culture of what I call blind loyalists. Those who do zero research or crunch any numbers, but just nod, smile and conform to their favorite political icon. Trump and AOC’s rise to fame has been due to exploiting these blind loyalist.

Self-branding has been the driving factor behind today’s politics.

These self-branding tactics appear whenever there is a congressional hearing. When a member of Congress “dunks” on their opponent.  AOC is exceptional at liking, retweeting, or responding to every positive engagement she endures in these congressional hearings. Her base then comments “I love her” and she then receives 50k + likes- as though she is Batman bringing down the criminals of Gotham City. Yet in reality, she’s not doing anything because none of her policy is actually going anywhere, but yet her support keeps coming.

She’s doing the work of a journalist not a member of Congress. Journalists’ are wired to expose government and corporate corruption, to provide the people with more transparency. Government elected officials are wired to protect the liberty of all citizens and uphold the constitution. As well as look out for the good of the American people with solid policy.

Both Trump and AOC are more concerned with playing politics and expanding their base than actual tangible policy. Although both Trump and AOC emulate similarities they also have significant differences.

Trump’s rise was strategically planned. He entered politics to become president, he studied the market- midwest swing states- and campaigned in the places he needed to win. His approach was/is relentless with smear tactics and perpetual lies to uphold his reputation.

Although AOC carries many of these similarities, she also has 16 more years before she is eligible to run for president. If she continues with her antics, lies, and false hopes, the public, and her base will eventually discover she’s a con-artist who knows nothing.

Trump will already be out of office by the time his supporters find out his economy and policies were and are trash. Trump never acquired a reputation of being a “lying politician.” AOC on the other hand will. She will no longer be unorthodox, but another political figure who has been manipulating the masses and pandering to her base.

Unlike AOC, Trump is a “master brander.” He knows how to uphold good PR and present a desirable image to his targeted audience. When he is insulted on social media he doesn’t respond with free exposure. He knows how to ignore legitimate insults and dodge the tough questions that might make him look like a fool. Pretty much, he doesn’t take the bait.

Trump knows how to smear and kick his foes when they are down. Insulting TV ratings. Insulting politicians when they are under investigations. Insulting politicians when they are in the news for sexual harassment. He knows hows to draw negative attention away from him and hone in on the failures of others.

AOC on the other hand always takes the bait. Instead of ignoring petty smear tactics, she feeds into the animosity and provides free exposure to her adversaries. She has a thing for responding to right-wing pundits to defend herself, which provides free exposure for “the haters.”

Just 2 weeks ago Daily Wire’s Ryan Saaverda tweeted an alleged racist remark AOC made while talking to a group of black people, stating:

“  Ocasio-Cortez speaks in an accent that she never uses while telling a room of predominately black people that there is nothing wrong with them folding clothes, cooking, and driving other people around on a bus for a living.”

This then promoted Charlotte Clymer to respond, stating:

I swear, every time y’all attack @AOC with this nonsense, it backfires spectacularly. She’s saying there’s just as much pride + honor in the labor of working class folks. She’s echoing Dr. King’s “street sweeper” quote. Yet, you project racist bullshit on her voice? Embarrassing.”

Then low and behold AOC responded with:

“Folks talking about my voice can step right off. Women’s March & Kavanaugh speech, same.

Any kid who grew up in a distinct linguistic culture & had to learn to navigate class enviros at school/work knows what’s up.

My Spanish is the same way.

These conspiracy mills are”

Why just why? Now those 3.9 million people who follow AOC know that she changed her tone when talking to black people.

You have to remember about 30 percent of the people following these political figures are indecisive voters. Why expose them to any negative press on you?

Although AOC displays the same moronic aggressive tactics as Trump, she still has a lot of evolving to do if she plans to be president at 45.
