Both Parties Lose With Kavanaugh

Many characteristics of both the democrat and republican party revealed themselves throughout the inauguration of Judge Kavanaugh. The Kavanaugh Circus was a prime showing of how partisans cling onto their party for political gain. One side views guilty lying judge while the other side perceives disgusting tactic to stop a nominee.

It reminds me of the 2015 dress that went viral; when half the people viewing the dress thought it was blue and half the people viewed the dress as gold. Locked and convinced of the image you see to be true.

But this Kavanaugh debacle goes beyond viewing something as true or false. To the extent of, “not only am I correct, but you are a horrible human being for disagreeing with me” and both sides have formed this mentality.

I believe the Republicans anger and deep frustrations amplified over media and Democrat claims that Kavanaugh sexual harassed Dr. Ford without proper evidence or due process. These claims were clearly targeted to prop up the Democrat’s political agenda and stop a nominee that they repeatedly said they were not going to vote for. The Democrats approach to call the opposing party sexist, racists and so on seems to be taking a toll on Republicans.

Democrats clearly exploited Dr. Fords’ tragic event, just to stop a nominee. Dianne Feinstein knew about the allegations weeks before the inauguration. The plan was to buy time in hopes to win back the house and block the nomination of Judge Kavanaugh.

Bill Clinton and more recently Keith Ellison, being overlooked by democrats proves that they only care about abuse victims who have been victimized by republicans, or tools they can use to advance politically. With the democrats hypocrisy and their ongoing bias smears, we see Republicans backlash.

Not only does the debacle reveal the Democrat’s inclination, but we also witness foolish reactionary procedures by Republicans. Before pointing out the Republicans folly we must remember why the conservatives have gained the support to be where they are today.

The 2016 election shined a light on the massive support for anti establishment candidates such as Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders. Then candidate Trump, rose to fame by consistently calling out special interests and those “swampy” politicians who represent the establishment. Trump gained much attraction from the masses because of his unprecedented and unorthodox way of criticizing the corruption in Washington. People voted red because they were sick of what politics has become and the power Establishment Elites have gained. Trump-not being a product of the establishment- sparked hope in many.

From what we are seeing now, Republicans are not concerned with “fighting the establishment” but will mindlessly support their party’s decision as long as Trump signs the bill. Like Justin Amish preaches, we are currently seeing an abundance of power given to the GOP Establishment. And the Red Establishment is not holding back with a 1.3 trillion dollar omnibus  bill, supporting 150 billion dollar corporate subsidies, a 708.1 billion spending bill to defense programs and more government control of privacy. The reality is, our “anti-establishment” president has not only conformed to the establishment, but he’s growing it at a rapid rate.

Now with all that being said let me get back to Kavanaugh.

Judge Kavanaugh, being a product of the establishment, was not a favorable pick amongst Republicans to start. But as the Ford allegations continued, the party’s support for Kavanaugh strengthened and the original right-wing criticism of the Judge faded.

Many on the right consider Kavanaugh to be a constitutionalist; this claim couldn’t be further from the truth. This is clearly shown with his past history of supporting the patriot act, which violates the privacy of civilians through mass surveillance and government control of private property. Doesn’t seem like he cares much about the 4th amendment.

This “constitutionalist” nominee is against due process rights to those deemed a threat.  And I can’t help but find it comical that Republicans support a nominee that proposed the Obama care penalty to be considered a tax. I can’t help but wonder why Republicans are giving the establishment more control just to “own the lib” with their supreme court pick.

This is debatable, but from what I witnessed it’s pretty clear that judge Kavanaugh lied to congress. He denied embarrassing details of his college experience by denying his crude objections to women and lying about the types of parties he attended. These are not characteristics of an ideal supreme court judge. Yes, unrelated to ford allegations, but someone in the highest position in federal courts should be honest and prove to have integrity.

Those in high power positions need to have the same accountability like the rest of us. Remember when Eric holder lied to congress and the right went mad? Kavenogu should have the same standards, period.

The tactics brought about by Democrats fueled Republicans need to initiate Kavanaugh to the supreme court; and this has skewed the real importance of brining checks and balances to those in high power, the establishment. Its lunacy to say you are against the establishment when supporting Kavanaugh. A man who does not support the constitution.

What did we learned from this circus? That conservatives really don’t care about the constitution because their candidate is allowed to lie to congress and support a bill that administers mass surveillance on civilians. And, Democrats only care about rape victims when it helps them achieve their political goals.
