Your Vote Doesn’t Matter

The 2018 midterm came to an end with Democrats winning back the house and Republicans taking 3 more seats in the Senate. This is the outcome that most had predicted would happen. No real winners and no real losers.

But what baffles me is the complete trust that  US citizens put in their favorite politicians as though these people are going to save the country from its hardship.  As though politicians are going to make everyone’s life better once they are elected. This is far from true.

Voting for favorable politicians in hope that they will get elected is similar to going to your favorite sports game and cheering on your team to win. Regardless if your preferred candidate gets elected or not, their success in no shape, way, or form is going to better or worsen your life.

First off, no politician is in control of your life, nor can they bring you prosperity. The only person that can do that is you and your loved ones. So stop wasting your time and energy thinking politicians or your preferred party is somehow going to save the country from its hardship because it’s just not true.

This brings me to my next point.

One of the harsh realities that entail political life is the fact that regardless of who you vote for the same systematic power forces are always going to control Washington. Wall Street and corporations will always manipulate and find politicians. Individual liberties will continue to be violated by the surveillance state. The military industrial complex will forever take precedence over both parties and intervene military forces around the world, while their cronies benefit from the production of war. The federal reserves will forever own this country.

Corruption in Washington will forever be controlled by these power factors and regardless who you pull the lever for these institutions will always take precedence. Your favorite politician is unable to defeat these entities but instead, they will have no choice but to conform to the powers in order to achieve political gains.

Everyone needs to shut up and stop cheering and/or stop complaining about your favorite politician victory or defeat. Because nothing is going to change. Instead of projecting your energy into the next partisan politician you are going to vote for, start projecting your energy into yourself, your God, and your loved ones. These values are more important than the highly corrupt and dishonest political cesspool that we vote for.
